Fire resistant fabrics for copper foundries
Fire resistant fabrics for copper foundries must provide protection from radiant heat and metal splashes at high temperatures (1.100ºC)
The copper foundry industry involves a high risk of burns, particularly due to radiant heat, in areas where temperatures exceed 1,100 °C. The primary operational risk is associated with molten copper splashes, which are capable of causing severe burns.
Copper has a relatively high melting point (1,085 °C); therefore, when in a liquid state, splashes pose a significant hazard due to their high temperature and thermal transfer capacity.
In copper foundries, there is also a risk of contact heat burns, inherent to the industrial processes involved in this type of activity.
At Marina Textil, we have developed a range of flame-retardant fabrics specifically for copper foundries, designed to provide effective and reliable protection in these highly demanding industrial environments.
