Offshore drilling protective fabric
The oil industry requires multi-risk fabrics that adapt to the climatic conditions of each season.
Workers on oil platforms carry out several tasks. Therefore, their personal protective equipment (PPE) must be made of multi-risk fabrics that meet their protection needs depending on the type of work, temperature, and time of year.
Among all the work areas within the petrochemical sector, we find the so-called ATEX zones (highly explosive zones or atmospheres), which can generate electric arcs outside and where the use of fireproof and antistatic fabrics (at least antistatic outside) is critical. These fabrics must be waterproof and comply with EN 13034 anti-acid reference or EN 11611 welding protection.
There are also monochrome and vehicular traffic zones. This requires workers to wear high-visibility fabrics and bands.
These are the protective fabrics for offshore drilling that Marina Textil has developed for oil rigs. Click on any of them for more information about their specifications.
