PROTECTION AND COMFORT WITH A MODERN DESIGN. IS THAT POSSIBLE?
Not so many years ago, when we were thinking about multi-risk fabrics (EN 11612, EN 61482, EN 1149, …) the first idea coming into our minds was heavy, rough, rigid and even unpleasant fabrics. Over time, it has already been proved that it’s possible to offer the proper protection with high comfort, mainly using blends such as modacrylic, cotton, FR viscose, etc. But, can we go further?
Marina Textil started producing fabrics for fashion, and although it switched to technical fabrics, there are certain features that remained in our DNA. We believe that workers can be protected and comfortable, not only in the feeling but also in its “look”.
Thanks to this constant research to improve the performance of our fabrics, we have managed to develop a complete range of elastic/stretch multinorm fabrics. Most of them are unidirectional (weft direction), but we also have some of them which are bidirectional (warp and weft direction).
These elastic developments allow the garment manufacturer to make new designs more “street” fashion without having to renounce the high performance in protection and comfort. The stretch on our fabrics will permit to make more “skinny fit” PPE, in which sometimes it is even hard to believe that they are not common garments. In addition, workers will be able to do their job in better conditions.
Our range of elastic options goes from our common multinorm fabrics like Marko, and Plusmark to our more special articles with aramids in its composition like ARAMAR and MARKO ASTM.
