MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR PROTECTIVE CLOTHING

Standard EN ISO 13688 specifies general performance requirements for ergonomics, safety, size designation, ageing, compatibility and protective clothing markings, as well as information to be supplied by the manufacturer with protective clothing.

The EN ISO 13688 standard must only be used when combined with other standards that have specific protection requirements and not autonomously.

  • Chromo Content < 3 mg/Kg
  • Nickel Discharge > 0.5 µg/cm² per week.
  • PH between 3.5 and 9.5
  • Forbidden azoic colouring content: none detected.
  • Design: standard point 4.4.
  • Ergonomics: standard point 4 .
  • Shrinkage < 3% (woven fabric) < 5% (knit fabric).
  • Sizing: standard point 6.
