ISO 12127 protection fabric

HEAT RESISTANCE 180 ºC / 260 ºC

The EN ISO 17493 test method assesses a fabric’s resistance to heat when exposed to a hot air circulating oven. The purpose of the method is evaluating physical changes in any material at a specific exposure temperature. Materials are evaluated with regard to defined visible changes, including the measurement of contraction.

180 ºC: the test consists of inserting fabric samples measuring 50 cm x 50 cm into a hot air circulating oven at 180 ºC for 5 minutes.


260 ºC: the test consists of inserting fabric samples measuring 50 cm x 50 cm into a hot air circulating oven at 260 ºC for 5 minutes.
